Brompton

We have had a really great week. We have made friendship bracelets and handed them out. We have written different ways of being a good citizen on scrolled paper - and then stained it with Tea! We have made houmous in the secondary classroom - and tried it! We have made passports and posters called 'All about me'. Everybody has worked really well together. To finish the week and term off, we made a special animation in the primary classroom. It is off people from all around the world doing a march and uniting together as good citizens! It will be on the website soon.

Lebanese children's charity appeal

Well done to all our pupils who helped to prepare for our fundraising sale!
We raised £144.75 for TOUFOULA. The pupils from both the secondary and primary classes at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital watched a video about the work of this charity which works to provide stimulating and fun activities for children in hospital. Toufoula means 'childhood' in arabic. All the people who work for this organisation give their time voluntarily and they have already achieved a great deal. Their latest project is to create 'dream' rooms for children's hospital wards. They are working in collaboration with famous architects to design these rooms.
Later this week the pupils will continue to fundraise to try to reach their £200 target.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed their time and effort so far!

Brompton Primary

The Primary and Secondary children decided on a display title for our week. It is called 'It's a small world'.
We talked about what being a citizen was, and how we are good citizens. We discussed identity and how we each have our own special personalities. We designed our own flags, using things personal to us.
The children then played a game called 'All around the world', which was great fun!

Brompton Secondary

At the Brompton we discussed the theme for the week, and started off with the theme of identity and each child produced an individual passport, including digital images using the digital camera. They then incororated it into a powerpoint presentation.
